Helping Khenpo Tokpa Tulku Save the 5th Generation Monastery
Khenpo Tokpa Tulku’s great-grandfather, grandfather and then father maintained a mountain monastery going back over 100 years. Unfortunately it was damaged significantly by the 2015 earthquake and is in need of repairs to preserve the structure and protect the incredible wall murals and precious dharma objects inside. Tokpa Tulku aspires to keep up the monastery in service to the local people there and he returns annually for more than a month to lead puja ceremonies and offer teachings. It is our wish to do all we can to support the preservation of the monastery and a percentage of all of our offerings goes toward a renovation fund. Your contributions are greatly appreciated!
Your donations are being put to good use! See below for progress — including a rebuild of the caretaker’s cottage completed (and in use to store the monastery sacred objects) — and now the monastery itself it under construction.
