Ellie Ray
Since stepping into a Mysore room in 2015, Ellie has approached the practice of Ashtanga yoga with dedication and curiosity. After earning her degree in Interior Architecture from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, she sought a way to reconnect with a healthier lifestyle. Yoga quickly became more than just a physical practice—it became a path of self-inquiry and transformation.
A few years later, Ellie made her first journey to India to study with Sharath Jois. In 2020, she moved to Texas and found her home at Mysore Austin, where she eventually began assisting Andrew. In 2025, she received Level II Authorization from SYC, further deepening her commitment to sharing Ashtanga yoga in its traditional form.
Ellie also runs The Hungry Yogi, a private retreat chef business inspired by her belief that food, like yoga, supports inner awareness.
